Every result on this page comes from our HVAC work with heating and cooling companies. We don't have published case studies for one-person painting, cleaning or handyperson businesses, so we won't pretend to. What we can do is explain what each result shows and which lessons a solo owner can use, even on a much smaller scale.

What each one teaches a solo owner
The numbers belong to bigger businesses, but each points to a lesson that works at any size.
BCWide.ca: fast change is possible when the basics were missing
Tripling leads in 90 days is a large jump in a short time. Jumps like that usually happen when a business had real demand nearby but wasn't being found or chosen. For a solo owner, the equivalent is fixing an incomplete Google profile or a site that hides your phone number. Fixing the obvious gaps often matters more than doing anything clever.
Roma Heating & Cooling: search traffic compounds over a year
A 400% rise in organic traffic took 12 months. Organic search is slow at first and then builds on itself. For a one-person business, this is the case for writing one clear page per service on a small website and leaving it to work, rather than chasing quick wins every month.
CanroHeat.ca: more leads is a capacity question
A 250% lead growth is only useful if someone can answer the phone and do the work. For a solo owner, this is the most important lesson on the page: before you try to grow enquiries, check that you can handle them. The one-page plan starts with that capacity check for exactly this reason.
HVACDeal.ca: measure return, not activity
A 12:1 ROI is a return figure, not a traffic figure. It means someone counted what came in against what went out. A solo owner can do the same with a notebook: enquiries, quotes, jobs won and the profit on each. Our budget guide shows how.
What transfers, and what doesn't
Being clear about this is part of being honest.
What transfers to a one-person business:
- One clear page for each service you want more of.
- An accurate, complete Google profile within Google's rules.
- Reviews asked for at the right moment, every time.
- Counting enquiries and jobs by source, every month.
- Checking capacity before trying to grow.
What doesn't transfer directly:
- The scale. These businesses had more staff, more trucks and bigger budgets.
- The trade. Heating and cooling has strong seasonal emergencies; a painter or cleaner has different patterns.
- The timeline. A solo owner with two hours a week will usually move more slowly.
How to judge any agency's results
Whether or not you work with us, ask these questions of any results an agency shows you.
- Is the client named and the site live? You should be able to check it.
- Is it the same kind of business as yours? If not, does the agency say so?
- Is the figure a result or an average? Averages across a portfolio can hide a lot.
- What was measured? Traffic, leads and profit are very different things.
- Over what time? A result in 90 days and one in three years tell different stories.
If you want to talk about what a realistic result might look like for your business, contact us or check pricing first.
Frequently asked questions
Are these results from plumbers, painters or cleaners?
No. They are results from our HVAC work, with heating and cooling companies. We show them as proof of the method and are clear about which parts transfer to other trades.
Can I expect the same numbers?
No one can promise that. These were established businesses with bigger budgets and more capacity than most solo owners. The method transfers; the exact numbers depend on your trade, area, prices and how much time you can give it.
Where can I see more case studies?
